Nick graduated in 1996, with an MSc in Speech and Language Pathology and Therapy from University College London. Since then he has worked in a range of acute and rehabilitation settings in the West Midlands. Nick currently works at Moor Green, an acquired brain injury rehabilitation unit in south Birmingham. He has previously worked in a specialist stroke unit, a community-based service for adults, and an in-patient neuro-rehabilitation unit.
Nick has a special interest in computer-supported therapy, and in using technology-based solutions to reduce the impact of language difficulties. He is currently doing research to investigate the efficacy of remote therapy. Nick also enjoys working with carers and communication partners to achieve the best outcome for the client. He is particularly interested in therapy approaches that not only focus on optimizing communication but also aim to enhance the person's quality of life.
