Chris qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1995. He has extensive experience of working with people severe and enduring mental illness and people with neurological conditions. He is currently employed as Research Director in Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham and as a Consultant Neuropsychologist at the Queen Elizabeth Neurosciences Centre, Birmingham. His NHS work involves the assessment and treatment of people with organic brain damage from a variety of causes (e.g. head injury, stroke, tumour, epilepsy and progressive neurological disorders). He also treats people who have emotional problems that present as potential organic conditions or who have emotional problems resulting from organic conditions or traumatic life events. Chris is an active researcher in Neuropsychology amongst other areas and a Cochrane Reviewer. Chris contributes extensively to teaching in research, formulation and Neuropsychology.
