Helen Cunningham Occupational Therapist
Helen qualified in 2004 from Coventry University with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Since qualifying, Helen has gained experience in general medicine and stroke rehabilitation, orthopaedics and acquired brain injury. She began her career at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, gaining experience in elective orthopaedic surgery, including a small paediatric case load. Helen then moved to Birmingham Heartlands Hospital to take up a band 6 rotational post incorporating Neuro In-reach, stroke unit, stroke outreach and the medical day hospital.
Helen's recent experience has involved working at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust. She has worked with a full multidisciplinary team following a neuro-behavioural approach to assess and treat service users with ABI. This has included group and individual treatment programmes.
