Laura qualified in 1996 from St Loye's School of Occupational Therapy, Exeter with a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Following qualification Laura has gained experience in many areas of occupational therapy including general medicine and surgery, rheumatology and paediatrics. Since 2003, Laura has specialised in neuro-rehabilitation, firstly at Selly Oak Hospital and more recently at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Experience at Selly Oak hospital included working with military patients with traumatic brain and orthopaedic injuries.Laura provides client centred occupational therapy programmes to those with acquired brain injury, spinal injuries and neuro-oncology diagnoses. She has management responsibilities including the recruitment and supervision of staff and leading the neurosurgical occupational therapy team.
