Naveed graduated from University College of Medicine in Wales in 2004, and worked as a Junior Physiotherapist at Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. He completed core rotations in Neurosciences, Acute Stroke Rehabilitation, Regional Spinal Rehab Unit, Elderly Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
In 2005 he progressed into a Senior Physiotherapy role working in Amputee Rehabilitation, Spinal Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal, Acute Medicine, Elderly Rehabilitation and Oncology. Naveed also worked as a Physiotherapist for Cardiff High School Old Boys Rugby during this time.
Naveed moved to London in 2008 to work as a Band 7 Physiotherapist in St Joseph's Hospice, gaining experience in Oncology and Palliative Care including neuro-oncology and progressive neurological diseases. Nearly 2 years later he returned to Wales to work within the Rhondda Cynon Taf Reablement and Intermediate Care Team as a Band 7 Senior Physiotherapist. This role has allowed Naveed to develop further skills in providing highly specific individualised treatment programmes within the home environment. He works as part of a multi disciplinary team, delivering holistic rehabilitation, to maximise independence and promote well being.
