Dear Jon and Peter
Warren had surgery under Mr Graigan on Tuesday at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He was operated under a local block. Mr Craigan operated on his forearm only without detaching the tendon and transferring it to the back of the arm. He felt that the extension and supination was good with the limited procedure so far. Warren is very happy as he noted he can open his hand fully without dropping his wrist, indeed with a slightly cocked wrist. He is also holding his hand in a more natural position at his side i.e. thumb forward if you know what I mean. He is in a splint and not as initially anticipated in a plaster. So all in all very very happy, so thanks very much.
We are off to Summer Sundae this weekend (yet another music festival but this time in Leicester so very convenient). I will provide more details as we progress.

I suffered brain damage following a road traffic accident that left me with weakness and spasticity on my left side. I have been under the care of a physiotherapist focussing mainly on restoring function to my arm. He recommended I see Peter Harding with a view to consider Botox injections to reduce the spasticity in my hand. I had already had Botox injections without progress in my rehabilitation.
I met Peter initially in Birmingham where he assessed me in close collaboration with my physiotherapist who was also present. I was impressed by his knowledge of all aspect of proposed care from the details of the affected muscles in my arm and hand to the bigger picture of a treatment plan of injections and also of involving an orthopaedic surgeon when necessary to consider surgery.
Peter has continued to work closely with my physiotherapist, even going as far as travelling to his consulting rooms for a joint assessment of progress and to undertake further Botox injections. This was clearly convenient for me, as I had to undertake only one journey.
I am extremely happy with the care I have received from Neurophysioplus.
