Wendy Straker-Jones Speech & Language Therapist
Wendy graduated from UWIC, Cardiff in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Speech & Language Therapy. From graduation until 2009, Wendy has worked in a range of settings in Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust, including; inpatient stroke rehabilitation, outpatient acquired neurological and stammering and Day Hospital (including large Parkinson's Disease case load).
From 2009, Wendy has expanded her experience with a number of clinical roles in South Wales and North Somerset, most of which involved patients with acquired neurological conditions and other medical conditions. These roles include inpatient rehabilitation, assisting clients re-engage in the community. Latterly she has been working with voluntary services in the community and providing training in communication.
